Mangaluru, 30 July 2026: An industrial visit was organised for the final-year Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students of BIT Polytechnic to EyeQ Dot Net Pvt. Ltd., a company specialising in the cybersecurity domain. The visit provided students with valuable industry exposure and an opportunity to understand the practical application of cybersecurity concepts in real-world environments.
During the visit, students were introduced to the fundamentals of cybersecurity and its importance in protecting digital systems and information. The sessions covered key areas including cybersecurity threats, ethical hacking, different types of hackers, Red Team and Blue Team operations, vulnerability assessment, security testing and bug bounty programmes.
Students also learned about the process of identifying and reporting vulnerabilities, along with various cybersecurity tools and techniques used in the industry. Practical demonstrations helped them gain a better understanding of how cybersecurity concepts are applied in real-world scenarios.
The interaction with industry professionals also provided insights into industry practices and career opportunities in cybersecurity, encouraging students to explore areas such as ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment and security testing.
