Application Process

BIT invites students from across India and abroad to experience the essence of a complete education. BIT does not accept any capitation fee or demand donations. Admissions are strictly based on the merit of the students and their ability to demonstrate academic excellence, a well-rounded personality, extra-curricular interests, and a commitment to social causes while being conscious of the environment around them.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Polytechnic Diploma courses at BIT, candidates must have passed SSLC/10th standard or an equivalent examination recognized by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks (subject to variation based on course-specific requirements). The minimum age for admission is 15 years, with no specified upper age limit unless mandated by regulatory authorities. Additionally, candidates who have completed 10+2 in the Science stream or have undertaken a 2-year ITI course after SSLC are eligible for lateral entry directly into the second year (third semester) of the diploma program.
