Industrial visit - Deccan Plast

An industrial visit offers the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives the students an exposure to current work practices as opposed to theoretical knowledge being taught in their college classrooms.

To get practical knowledge and to give an insight into the way things work in a real-life scenario, students of 1st -year Mechanical (40memebers) and 1st year civil Engineering (17 members) at BIT Polytechnic, Mangalore visited DECCAN PLAST Industries, Konaje on 13th August 2024 as a part of an Industrial visit, assisted by 5 faculty members – Prof. Prithviraj M, Mr. Mohiuddin A G, Mr. Mansoor, Mrs. Deepa Konati and Ms. Haneena sheikh.

Students will also have an opportunity to tour the production facilities and manufacturing methods in DECCAN PLAST Industries. Technical staff explained about various manufacturing processes for the development of different plastic chairs, tables, stools, crates, Storage Solution etc. with latest technology.

We are confident that this industrial visit will be a valuable learning experience for the students and will help them to gain a deeper perceptive of manufacturing and production process.
