Industrial visits provide students with a valuable opportunity to gain practical knowledge through direct interaction with industry professionals, exposure to real-time working methods, and an understanding of employment practices. They help bridge the gap between classroom learning and actual industrial applications.

On 11th July 2024, the 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering students of BIT Polytechnic, Mangalore, accompanied by faculty members Mr. Dileep Kumar C and Mr. Mohiuddin A. G, visited the Government Tool Room & Training Centre (GTTC), Mangalore. A total of 46 participants (44 students and 2 faculty members) took part in the visit.

During the session, students gained hands-on insights into industrial workshop practices, CNC machining operations, tool and die making, and modern equipment handling. They also learned about both conventional and non-conventional machining operations, enhancing their technical understanding and preparing them for real-world engineering challenges.
